In 1963, the U.S. Air Force conducted operations on Mayaguana, as documented in Project Blue Book files. These files, now declassified, detail investigations into unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and other aerial phenomena observed in the area. The presence of such operations suggests that Mayaguana played a role in broader surveillance and monitoring efforts during that period.
Additionally, declassified CIA documents from the early 1990s, such as the SUN STREAK Report 9021, detail operations involving remote viewing – a form of psychic reconnaissance- targeting vessels near Mayaguana.
UFO Bahamas
UFO activity in the Bahamas has seen a variety of reports over the years, ranging from civilian sightings to incidents involving flight crews. A particularly notable case occurred on December 23, 2024, when a Surjet flight crew encountered a glowing object at around 43,000 feet. The object, initially white and later turning green with an electric-like aura, reportedly followed the aircraft for about 45 minutes, changing colors and moving erratically. Air traffic control had even warned the crew of a “foreign object” nearby, adding further credibility to the sighting.
Platforms like Enigma Labs have cataloged 53 sightings across the Bahamas. Additionally, the US UFO Center, which has collected reports for over 30 years, notes a rise in sightings due to better technology and increased public interest.
Bermuda Triangle
